On March 08, 2018, ETD staff gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day, which is “The time has come: rural and urban activists are transforming women’s lives.”
The day started with a word from ETD’s CEO followed by interactions and discussions among staff members.
The CEO of ETD wished the women of ETD a good party and expressed his pleasure at seeing the theme of this international day of women’s rights in line with the activities of ETD.
Indeed, he said that in Togo, the celebration of the day offers the opportunity for women to seek to meet the challenges of their real involvement in public governance. “The CEO also mentioned the significant disparities between men and women in rural areas, particularly in terms of Family Farming.
In addition, the CEO of ETD hoped that the celebration of this day would be an opportunity for women in ETD to better reflect on how they could contribute to improving their workplace and their environment.
Finally, the CEO emphasized the value of women and thanked the collaborators.
