PROJECT 5: CAPACITY BUILDING PROJECT FOR FARMERS OF BLITTA IN PRODUCTION AND MARKETING OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (2010-2013)
Location: Blitta prefecture
Beneficiaries: more than 1500 farmers and their organizations
Activities: training in production technical routes and calculation of production costs, group sales organization training, input supply (seed, fertilizer), summary development of 30 hectares of lowlands, provision of small agricultural equipment (tarpaulins, small production and weighing equipment), connecting farmers with MFIs, setting up a guarantee fund, construction and management storage infrastructures for inputs and agricultural products, promoting a warrantage system for corn, business plan development, marketing, support for the establishment of a professional organization of farmers at the prefectural level.
