Final beneficiaries and / or target groups: Target groups: (i) 15,000 small farmers, 50% of whom are young and 35% women, in the five economic regions of Togo. (ii) 35 young entrepreneurs, both sexes. (iii) the Blitta Prefecture Council. Direct: small farmers and people of Blitta Prefecture. Indirects: Togolese consumers, CTOP, MAEP, MATDCL.

Specific goals: 1) Increase and secure the income of farmers through the promotion of small local agribusinesses. 2) Civil society and local communities consult and negotiate, within the framework of a sustainable development strategy, the definition, production and management of local and quality goods and services in coordination with State services and other territorial partners. 3) Make ETD a professional, recognized organization with controlled growth.

Main achievements expected: 1.1) 15 000 farmers of whom 35% of women and 50% of young people are reached. 1.2) 7 000 tons of agri-food products (rice, soya, honey, meat) are processed per year. 1.3) The income distributed to farmers by the 35 companies established has more than doubled and represents 50% of the total wealth created. 2.1) The local communities of Blitta, Haho and Moyen Mono are strengthened to develop and follow a concerted territorial strategy for sustainable development. 2.2) Frameworks for consultation, negotiation and dialogue are functional. 2.3) Basic services improving the urban and semi-urban environment are managed by each local communities in partnership with private structures. 3.1) A multi-year strategic orientation plan and a business plan is defined. 3.2) Technical, financial and organizational capacities of ETD are strengthened.

Major achievements of the year 2015:
35 ESOP-type companies, 25 of which were old and 10 new ones were supported in nine sectors. They: (i) reached 18,345 farmers, 27% of whom were women, (ii) distributed 877.4 million CFA, or 1.337 million euros in rural areas, and (iii) created 156 net jobs and 2088 equivalent jobs. The sustainable development charters of the Haho and Moyen-Mono prefectures have been validated and 12 thematic maps produced. A five-year agricultural development plan for Blitta Prefecture for the period 2015 to 2019 is defined. Four local communities were assisted in planning and promoting the sustainable development of their territory with: (i) 17 consultative frameworks established, strengthened and regularly animated in the Haho and Moyen-Mono; (ii) a consultative framework established with an operating charter in Blitta prefecture; (iii) the construction of 11 new structures (6 boreholes and 5 market sheds) launched in 2015; (iv) the adoption of agroforestry practices by 322 agricultural farmers on 141 ha; (v) 35 Local Initiatives (LI) supported in 2015 (16 in the Middle Mono and 19 in the Haho) and the final selection at Blitta by the consultative framework of 30 Local Initiatives (LI) projects planned to be financially supported; (vi) two prefecture council organizational diagnostics were conducted including one in Blitta prefecture and the other in Haho, and (vii) six capitalization documents presented and disseminated to the regional sharing workshop.
