On Tuesday, January 16, 2018, a greetings ceremony of ETD staff to its CE0 took place at ETD headquarters in the quartier Agbalépédogan in Lomé.

Started at 09:30, the ceremony brought together ETD-Lomé staff and delegations representing ETD offices in Atakpamé, Notsè, Blitta and Benin. Three ESOP managers were present for the occasion.

The ceremony began with a welcome allowance followed by the wishes of the staff expressed through a speech delivered by a member of the ETD Lomé team.

Aside from the actual greetings, staff expressed their willingness to stand beside their Director to meet the challenges of the organization and to contribute to achieving the noble goals of ETD. Grievances were also made. After the staff speech, a symbolic gift was given to the Director General.

Speaking, the ETD CEO was very moved and expressed his gratitude to all the staff. Feeling satisfied with the commitment of the staff and his good knowledge of the environment of the NGO, he expressed his joy to be faced with such a team 14 years after the creation of ETD.

The CEO of Entreprises Territoires et Développement then came back to the need to continue the efforts to constitute a response to the improvement of the living conditions of the populations.

 After a quick review of the year 2017, he welcomed the activities carried out so far while highlighting the shortcomings noted during the past year.

Moreover, in the context of globalization and the many challenges to be met in 2018, the CEO called on each of them to strengthen their performance and to redouble their motivation and commitment within ETD.

Among the measures taken for the year 2018, it was mentioned the need to find new funding to continue activities on the field. Similarly, the operationalization of the SOP and the repositioning of the ESOPs were mentioned as well as the existence of the CIDEA to finance agri-food companies. Other initiatives such as strengthening communication and coaching staff through training activities were also discussed.

The ceremony ended around 1 pm with a family picture and a group lunch.
